Frequently Asked Questions

How long will I stay?

Length of stay varies with each patient. The average length of stay is usually somewhere between two and four weeks. Your discharge date must be coordinated with your physician, case manager, the treatment team and your unit command.

Do I stay in uniform while I’m at your hospital?

Yes. A uniform that we will provide for you will be required from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We also recommend that you bring three to four days worth of comfortable, casual clothing if you wish to change after hours. Closed toed shoes for gym time are also recommended. Laces will not be permitted. Please see what to bring/what not to bring for more information.

Can I smoke?

Yes. There are designated smoke breaks scheduled throughout the day. You must provide your own cigarettes and they must be unopened packs in order to be brought in.

Can my family visit?

Yes, our facility has scheduled visitation hours on specific days during the week. We will make every effort to accommodate any out of town/state cases in addition to chaplains and unit command. You can work with your treatment team to arrange any irregular visitation hours.
