Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions about your stay at Cumberland Hall Hospital.

How long will I stay?

Length of stay varies. The average length of stay is usually somewhere between two and four weeks. Your discharge date must be coordinated with your physician, case manager, the treatment team and your unit command.

Do I stay in uniform while I’m at your hospital?

No. It is optional, but not mandatory. We recommend that you bring three to four days worth of comfortable, casual clothing. Please see “what to bring/what not to bring” for more information.

Can I smoke?

Yes. There are designated smoke breaks scheduled throughout the day.

Can my family visit?

Yes, there are scheduled visitation hours on specific days during the week. We will make every effort to accommodate any out of town/state cases. You can work with your treatment team to arrange any irregular visitation hours.
